Digital Dimensions is a multimedia production house based amidst the splendour of the Great Barrier Reef.
The organisation has two main production streams – natural history and other documentaries, and high-end corporate communications.
Digital Dimensions has the largest High Definition stock vision library of Indo-pacific reef life in the world, including macro and ‘impossible' behavioral sequences shot in their aquarium studio. |
Digital Dimensions fully equipped marine aquarium studio facilities allow easy access 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The system is maintained by their in-house marine biologist and includes a dive tank 8 x 5 metres 1.5 meters deep, allowing for filming on scuba - great for macro shots and behavioural sequences. Also has 4 x 1000 litre tanks for holding specimens, numerous glass tanks of all sizes for filming, a large wet bench area for small holding tanks and speciality tanks for jellyfish, octopus and plankton.
There are regular stocks of marine creatures including dangerous marine creatures - stone fish, cone shells and sea snakes; and coral and fish breeding pairs of many species. |

Digital Dimensions maintains a stock footage library of superb underwater images (16:9 High Definition 1080/24P and Digital Betacam) from all around Australia and the Indo-Pacific regions, to which we are constantly adding new material.
DD's principal international award winning underwater cameraman Richard Fitzpatrick is a marine biologist, having worked as senior biologist at Manly Oceanworld, Maui Ocean Centre Hawaii and at the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium, Townsville. As a biologist with an intimate knowledge of marine animals, Richard specialises in filming behavioural sequences, and is also well known as an active shark researcher. |
